Among the other famous personalities and delegates the Prime Minister and other diplomats and entertainment personalities were also present there to cheer for the lovers who are now husband and wife. Later they all were united in a reception organized and hosted by the Queen at the State Apartments of the castle. The Queen declared how elated she was to have Camilla in her family and wished the best to the couple.
Following their marriage the couple left for their honeymoon at Birkhall in Scotland and the Bentley, which drove the couple over to their honeymoon spot was decorated by the Princes William and Harry. With this marriage Camilla became the second most senior female member in the Royal Family after the Queen. With their wedding their long-standing and jeopardized romance finally got recognition for itself. Their first meeting was during a polo match at Windsor, some 30 years back and after that Charles went on to join the Royal Navy and Camilla got married to Andrew Parker Bowles, a cavalry officer. In 1981 Charles got married to Princess Diana but he never loved her and Diana somehow holds Camilla responsible for the wreckage of their marriage. Diana passed away in a car accident in 1997 in Paris and at that time they were already divorced. Camilla, since marriage, will be known as the Princes Consort as concluded by the Clarence House and thus she will be henceforth is addressed as Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall. This marriage has both religious and political implications. According to Tony Blair if Charles became the Governor of England then his marriage with Camilla, who’s a divorcee, would come under speculation by the Anglicans who still remain opposed to such practices. But surprisingly, Britons who support this marriage outnumber those who oppose it.
